WHO WE ARE

This page is about us and how we got into horses, goats, rabbits, ducks and chickens.

Amber Gardiner 19 Years old.
Dutch are my favorite breed. I got started in to rabbits at our local county fair. I saw the Californian rabbits being shown there. That was the summer of 1998. I was only 7 years old. We bought my first rabbit Rose. She was a californian rabbit. Later that same year we bought my Buddy also a californian.
I showed them in the fair the following year. I had a hard time carring them to the table because they were so big. Showmanship was hard too as I was small and they were big. Mom (Cindy) saw her first mini rex rabbits at that fair. I bought Sugar my mix breed a very sweet bunny.
Well mom went on a search and found 2 mini rex rabbits  forsale in Traverse City at Wanta-Be-Rabbitry. These rabbits belonged to the family so we all could show them. These we our first pedigree rabbits. Amaya a broken black doe and Biddy a black buck. We went to our first ARBA rabbit show in 1999. We really did not know what was going on and tried to watch a little. We ask a lot of question and we got two more mini rex. Black Velvet and Ruby. We showed at our first show fall of 1999 Whitetail RBA. We showed our mini rex and got our first ribbons. We were hooked. We bred Pheobe to Biddy and had our first litter of Mini rex in 1999.
In the summer of 2000 we went to the Western Michigan RBA show in Greenville. Mom said I could pick my own breed. I saw a dutch. I told mom this is the breed I want. We bought my first dutch Bruhmuller's Sparkalee from Carrie. That was the start of my dutch rabbits.
We now show at ARBA shows in Michigan and some of the 4-H shows.
I am a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association.
I now have Grand Champion Dutch (see them on my dutch page). I also raise english lops.
I have a lot of pet birds silver and gold Seabrite Bantams, and Cochins chickens. I have Indian Runner ducks also a few Call ducks.
I also have horse named Spirit and a beagle named Luke. I own two dairy goats Summer and Kau.
I love to go to rabbit shows and the fair. I am very involved in my church.

Hi I am Rusty. I am 22 Years old.
(Rusty no longer live at the farm he has a cat name Ruto and fish. He comes visits us here very often)
My first pet was a Hedgehog Sonic. He was old when we bought him so when he died after a year we bought Susie a Abby Cavy. I showed Suzy at my first 4-H fair. Later I started showing our mini rexes at rabbit shows. I decided I wanted to sell my Cavies and get into rabbits so I bought Daisy my first rabbit. Daisy was a Califorinan.
Then my mom said, "pick a breed". I was not sure what breed to pick. Mom saw a Netherland dwarf rabbit in a silent auction at a 4-H show and he was so sweet that she bid on him for me. Well she won and she handed me Holder's M&M and I loved him. Now I have my Netherland Dwarfs in Mom's rabbitry.I am a member of the A.R.B.A.

I really like playing video games, reading.
(Rusty has Autisum (ashburgers) and ADHD.) (This make it hard at the rabbit shows and the fair.) I want to thank all the wonderful people at the rabbit shows and the fair we go to in Michigan for being so great to him. A special thank you to the Netherland Dwarf people at the youth table. This mean so much to him. )

Hi I am Cindy Gardiner
Amber has told most of our story. I did fall in love with the mini rex breed. I raised all colors. I also tried the holland lop breed for a time. The really like the mini rex breed and will alway have some around for pets. They are a very hard breed for me to do. There are so many colors and I wanted them all. I raised the mini rex breed from 1999 until 2003. I have one left .
Now I come to my newest breed the Polish. I have a grand champion now Drew's Chex X2. I am so excited.(I never did so well in Mini rex.) I have my own polish now to show. I love this breed and will try to promote it so we can get more breeder in michigan.
We run two 40 hole Rabbitrys. My husband and I own our own business. I am the Mom of 2 adult children. We are very involved in our church. So it is a very busy life.  In fall of 2005 we bought a farm. We have been growing ever since. We now have added Alpine goats . We have a herd of 7 Alpine and 3 alpine/Sannan cross dairy goats We have 6 horses Amber's Spirit a Throughbred gelding . A Appy Filly named Pebbles that belongs to Amber friend Michell and her family. Four adult Miniature horses one stallion paint named Graffitti, and three mares. Our horses are all rescues. We would now like to turn our farm into a place where teen girls could come and and be unconditionlly loved by our animals. We love the Lord with all our heart and could pass this on to all the girls who come here. If you would like to help us in this mission please go to the our home page and click on one of our stores and buy something.
God Bless you,
Cindy
